A new version of FoxyQuotes is available for download.Since this is a major upgrade, I wanted to test it before uploading to Mozilla Add-Ons Website. So, please let me know if you come across any problems.
The changes are as follows:
- Preferences and Quote Editor menu moved down to the statusbar area. Just right click on the icon. Middle click on the icon opens the Quote Editor.
- Quote dialog looks more like a browser window. (let's call it "Quote Browser" from now on. Great for its self-esteem) I couldn't figure out a way to place the quotes without breaking, or getting cut etc. Therefore the Quote Browser is still not resizable (how important do you think this is?). You can decide width and height in Preferences.
- The buttons are packed into a toolbar and moved up. They also look better thanks to FamFamFam Silk Icons.
- You know the "Next", "Timer" and "Close" from older versions. The "Previous" button is a new addition to the cast. Can you guess what it does?
- The two buttons between the timer and the close button change the font size preference. My hope for future versions is to provide access to as many settings as possible from Quote Browser instead of Preferences Window.
- Below the quote there is a statusbar now. If the quote you are viewing is coming from the history the first label ("History") turns red. The second label shows the size of your current quote pool and the final one is the timer. Expect more labels etc on this bar.- Left click on the quote will bring the next one, right click will go to previous and middle click will start or stop timer.
