Glad to see everyone came out OK out of Boston and the race wasn't cancelled in progress, like Chicago was a few years back. I guess the experienced runners of Boston knew how to better handle the heat.
In case you are wondering (I did), men's finish time of 2:12, was Abebe Bikila's World Record (known as world best back then) 1964 and Joan Benoit Samuelson (she was Joan Benoit back then) ran a 2:31 in 1980. Although, Grete Waitz ran a 2:27 the year before in NYC, but that is disputed, because the course was about 150m short.
Anyhow. Tough race. Congratulations to the organizing committee, the winners and all the finishers.
